Now that the total ban for any human settlement in the island is a public knowledge yet the demand to explore the underwater habitats of Cocos island is increasing, tour companies are developing a way that they tend to the needs of the guest without violating any provisions of the Marine park policies. And there is only one thing to do this: live-out at sea onboard a ship. Commonly called as liveaboard dive boats, these vessels are custom built to accommodate small group of divers where you can stay in spacious air-conditioned rooms called cabins that has its own private bathroom and cabinets where you can place your things. Food onboard is not a problem where you will always enjoy a gastronomic feast from their sumptuous meals prepared by their in-house chef.

While some have expected that life onboard will be pretty much boring, but in reality, it is not. There are lots of activities being offered onboard especially during the crossing over or when your vessel travels from the mainland port of Costa Rica going to Cocos island and vice versa.

But you may wonder: of all people, why divers?
